OUR PARTICIPATION IN THE SDGS

Our waste recycling business contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including the following:

1. **SDG 11 - Sustainable cities and communities: Waste recycling can help reduce pollution and improve waste management in urban areas, promoting cleaner, more sustainable cities.

2. **SDG 12 - Responsible consumption and production: Recycling promotes the reduction, reuse and recycling of materials, contributing to more sustainable production and consumption.

3. **SDG 13 - Climate action: Reducing waste and recycling helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production of new materials.

4. **SDG 14 - Aquatic life : By recycling waste, we can reduce the amount of plastic and other garbage that ends up polluting the oceans and threatening marine life.

5. **SDG 15 - Life on Earth: Appropriate waste management and recycling can contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and the preservation of terrestrial ecosystems.

6. **SDG 17 - Partnerships to achieve targets: Recycling projects often involve partnerships between governments, business and civil society to achieve common waste management goals.

These objectives illustrate our positive impact on the environment, sustainability, climate, urban quality of life and much more;

What are the Sustainable Development Goals?

Sustainable development is a set of decisions that improves living conditions in the present without endangering resources* for future generations.

Development is not sustainable if we use up all our resources today and leave nothing for future generations. Sustainable development means growing together, encouraging solidarity and respect for the environment.

To ensure sustainable development, we must ALL work together!

Major changes are needed to transform the world into a fairer society. To achieve this, leaders must be committed to change. But everyone must be able to give their opinion on issues that concern children and young people, by analyzing and debating the world we dream of for future generations. We can also take positive action in our own lives, for example, by respecting others and the planet.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015. They are a global call to action to eradicate poverty, protect the Planet and ensure that all human beings live in peace and prosperity by 2030.

The 17 SDGs are integrated - recognizing that interventions in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental aspects.

Countries have pledged to accelerate progress for those furthest behind. The MDGs are designed to end poverty, hunger, AIDS and discrimination against women and girls.

The creativity, know-how, technology and financial resources of the whole company will be needed to achieve the Goals in every context.
